Debe Gash leads a broad range of digital initiatives and solutions across the health system, including developing and implementing IT strategies and fostering a digital culture. She is responsible for updating the necessary standards, infrastructure, and security policies to protect SLHS’s information assets. Debe also ensures quality IT support for the health system and provides guidance in cost-effective clinical and business solutions. She joined Saint Luke’s Health System in 1992, where she was responsible for physician services for Saint Luke’s Medical Group and served as project manager and director of application development in information services. Debe began her career in health care managing physician offices and patient accounting. In 1989, she moved to Kansas City and joined Baird, Kurtz and Dobson, CPA, as a health care consultant. Debe is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, College of Healthcare Information Management Executives, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, and the American College of Medical Practice Executives. She is the chair of the board of directors for Missouri Health Connection and holds the following certifications: FACHE, CHCIO, FHIMSS, CMPE, and CPHIMS.
